The Arctic Tern is an adorable seabird, but it is also a world traveler. They migrate from the Arctic to the Antarctic and back every year, a total annual distance of nearly 12,000 miles. This means they enjoy two summers a year, and are thus believed to spend more time in the sunshine than any other creature in the animal kingdom. Talk about vacation goals!

This design is built for versatility: it can be a peplum top, a tunic, or a flowy dress (the perfect beach cover-up!). The tern's petite little tail mirrors the triangle lace detail in this design, so this garment is the perfect reminder to spend a little more time in the sun - just don’t forget the SPF!

Sizing:
FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE. This pattern is written based on measurements and can be easily adjusted to your custom measurements. The pattern includes suggested measurements to create adult sizes Small (US women’s sizes 4-6) Medium (sizes 8-10) and Large (sizes 12-14) just as a guideline, but the pattern includes sizing tips to customize your sweater to fit ANY size, width, or length, including children's sizes. So no worries if you are not between an adult size S-L, you can totally make this garment! I write my patterns this way to give you the creative freedom to make your sweater to fit your unique size and style preferences.
