The carnation, the official flower of Mother’s Day, is known to represent love, adoration, trust, and gratitude. Carnations are also traditionally given to those who have lost mothers as a symbol of loving memory. As a mother grieving my own mother, this symbolism bears deep meaning for me in multiple ways.
Give this cowl as a gift to the mothers and mother figures in your life, and to those experiencing the absence of these figures, to show your gratitude and love for them.
Sweet rows of bead stitch in this design mimic the shape of fluffy, blooming carnations. Worked in-the-round, the construction includes gradual increases to give this accessory the perfect drape to showcase those textured stitches.
